In Iron Mountain, MI off East “A” Street, this unique site is 350 feet deep, with a consistent temperature of 40 degrees, just right for furry little bats that need a place to stay for the winter. Seven species, from 5 states and Canada, making it the second largest known colony of hibernating bats in North America. The bats leave the mine in late April and return
